Pierce Tap® 2

Fres-co Pierce Taps® employ patented pierce-at-first-use technology and flow-through piercer technology to maximize barrier protection, flow rate and shelf life for liquid dispensing packages. The three-piece design is available in two embodiments: Pierce Tap® 1 and Pierce Tap® 2.

Pierce Tap 2 has a cylindrical base and sealed barrier film enabling fitment insertion to pre-made flexible pouches and bags with glands. This permits pierce-at-first-use technology in pouches without redesigning the package or purchasing additional equipment. Both embodiments are assembled with tamper-evident protective caps. The all-plastic Fres-co Pierce Tap represents a significant advancement in barrier protection and sustainability for liquid dispensing packages, while providing longer shelf life by eliminating the oxygen ingress that occurs through fitments on conventional pre-made bags.
