Our team is honored to receive the Gravure Golden Cylinder Award for our “Stand-up Barrel Pouch with Handle & Dispensing Tap” in the Technical Innovation-Packaging category from The Gravure Association of the Americas. 

The Gravure Association of the Americas conducts the Annual Golden Cylinder Awards Competition to promote the Gravure process and to provide peer recognition for technical achievement. This annual international competition is designed to identify the “Best of the Best” in each segment of the industry and to distinguish technical innovations. 

The Fres-co Barrel Pouch won top honors for its packaging material’s Gravure-bonded construction of polyester / nylon / polyethylene for resilience and seal strength. Gravure is an intaglio printing process in which the image carrier has the image cut or etched below the surface of the non-image area. The Gravure-laminated Barrel Pouch structure features reverse print in 10-color Gravure with a clear window to see the contents inside protected within the flexible, yet strong, stand-up package.

While forming this distinctive package, the Barrel Pouch’s handle is die-cut and the sides are formed and sealed.
