Square Bottom/Side Gusseted and Pillow Package Formats
Fres-co’s line of gas flush, vertical, form, fill, seal automated packaging equipment can produce both square bottom, side gusseted packages, as well as back fin-seal pillow pouches for a variety of package sizes from 2oz to 5lb.
Our GL-18 (intermittent motion) and GL-18C (continuous motion) are gas flush machines that can run a variety of package sizes, offer simple and quick change-over between sizes and are equipped with easy to use Allen Bradley controls.
TheGL-14 (intermittent motion) and GL-14C (continuous motion) combines the features of the GL-18C with a finishing conveyor that allows for application of value-added consumer features like Fres-close®, tin-tie, reseal tape and half moon die cut for easy opening. Our Corner Seal® technology delivers a unique side gusset package that stands out on the shelf.
Fres-co is a world-wide leader in vacuum packaging systems for coffee. The GL-26 is an automatic machine that vacuum packages, with partial or total gas flush, at speeds from 30- 75 pieces per minute. The GL-22 is a higher speed version of the GL-26 where greater output is desired.
Single Cup Packaging Systems
Fres-co offers a complete line of pod machines that are integrated overwrapping equipment for the individual pods. Pod machines have output capabilities from 50 pods/minute to 1000 pods/minute. Downstream collation and automatic cartoning are also available.
For packing of unwrapped individual pods into a mother bag, our pod machines are the front part of the line and are then conveyed to our form fill and seal equipment for finishing. We offer equipment that can stack the pods or randomly drop them the into the mother bag. Downstream collation and automatic cartoning are also available.
Frac-Pack, Filter Pack & Stick Pack Machines
The GAMMA SERIES of 4-side seal pouch machines for fractional packs of coffee provides multiple lane output at speeds ranging from 70-350 bags/minute. In addition, with the 4-side seal pouch we are able to significantly reduce material usage vs. a standard back fin seal. Starting from rollstock, this automatic form, fill, seal pouch system fills via auger or dosing cup. Downstream collation and automatic cartoning are available.

The GAMMA SERIES series for filter packs of coffee provides multiple lane output at speeds ranging from 50-150 bags/minute. The filter pouch has the option of either being round or square with coffee ranges from .5 oz to over 2 oz. Downstream collation and automatic cartoning are available.
The ALPHA SERIES of stick-pack machines for ground coffee offers 20 lane output at speeds up to 100 packages per minute at an economical price. Starting from rollstock, this automatic form, fill, seal systems utilize auger and dosing cup and fill into a variety of paper, film or foil combinations Downstream collation and automatic cartoning are available.
